When is it used?
Used on low-to-high exuding wounds, and wherever the surrounding skin is fragile or removal pain is a concern.
Who is it for?
For pressure injuries, skin tears, leg and foot ulcers and post-surgical wounds — especially in older adults and patients with fragile skin.
Border vs non-border — what is the difference?
Bordered (with border): self-adhesive silicone border, an all-in-one dressing that stays put and is easy to apply. Non-bordered (without border): a silicone contact layer only, held with a secondary dressing or silicone tape — more conformable for joints, heels and awkward areas.

How long can it stay on?
Can remain in place up to 7 days depending on exudate and clinical assessment; the silicone can often be lifted to check the wound and repositioned.
How does it compare with a traditional foam dressing?
Versus a traditional (acrylic-adhesive) foam dressing, the soft silicone removes without stripping fragile skin or causing pain, and can be repositioned during application — reducing skin damage and dressing waste.
